Hector A. Sanchez, President

Mr. Sanchez serves as the President of Ashford Inc. In this role, he is responsible for the overall business performance and financial outcomes of the organization. He focuses on driving coordination, alignment, and efficiency across the Ashford Group of Companies, ensuring that operating units work cohesively and that cross-functional initiatives support the company’s broader strategic objectives.

Prior to his appointment as President, Mr. Sanchez served as the Chief Executive Officer of Premier, an Ashford subsidiary, and as the Head of Real Estate Development for Ashford Inc. since joining the organization in 2020. During his tenure at Premier, he led the successful rebuilding and repositioning of the firm during the pandemic, expanding its third-party services with more than 150 new contracts and establishing a growth platform in the multi-family and student-housing sectors. Under his leadership, Premier incubated an in-house architecture studio, launched a general contracting division, and advanced a development pipeline exceeding $1 billion in estimated value.

Before joining Ashford, Mr. Sanchez spent nearly two decades in senior leadership roles within the energy sector. He was the Senior Vice President of North America and Global Corporate Development at Rubicon Oilfield International. Previously, he spent 15 years at National Oilwell Varco (NOV), serving as Vice President of Sales and Operations for North America, where he oversaw a $500 million revenue budget and a team of 700 employees.

Mr. Sanchez earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston.
